I had the pleasure of attending the "Inside an Hourglass" tour in Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA and let me tell you, the tour did not disappoint. I had been waiting to see Local Natives for a very long time, and with Covid putting live music on hold that meant I was waiting an even longer time to see the band I had loved for so long. This was their first tour in three years but they still sounded pitch perfect. The setlist was a perfect blend of all of their albums, new and old. The lighting was incredible, perfect to shoot and perfect to look at from the audience. Most importantly though, their energy on stage was charismatic, probably one of the most fun sets I've seen in a while. Local Natives music brings me to tears quite often, so it was no surprise that when they played my favorite song by them, Coins I had tears of joy streaming down my face. It isn't everyday that live music can do that to you, but it is a magical feeling.
